Rattlers travel to UAPB looking for 7th straight win

The FAMU Rattlers (7-2) travel to Arkansas today to take on the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions (2-7) at 3 pm ET at Simmons Bank Field.  This will be the first ever meeting between the two teams.
The Rattlers have won six games in a row, and are looking to extend their winning streak to seven.
 
The Golden Lions, on average, score 5.5 more points (20.8) than the Rattlers allow (15.3). The Rattler defense has given up an average of 259.1 yards per game so far this season, 64.3 yards fewer than the 323.4-yard average from the Golden Lions offense. The Golden Lions are averaging 125.3 rushing yards per game, 25.1 more than the Rattlers are allowing (100.2).

This season the Rattlers have forced 14 turnovers, compared to the 12 times the Golden Lions have turned the ball over.

On the other hand, the Rattlers are averaging 10.0 fewer points per game (26.2) than the Golden Lions are allowing (36.2).  The Rattler offense has averaged 359.4 yards per game this year, 73.0 yards fewer than the 432.4 allowed by the Golden Lions defense.

The Rattlers have averaged 150.4 yards per game on the ground this year, 30.9 less yards than the Golden Lions have allowed to opposing rushing attacks (181.3).

The Rattlers have turned the ball over 10 times this season, while the Golden Lions have nine takeaways.

Florida A&M Players to Watch
·       Rasean McKay has 1,701 passing yards (189.0 ypg) to lead Florida A&M, completing 58.1% of his passes and throwing 14 touchdown passes and four interceptions this season.
 
·       Bishop Bonnett's team-high 774 rushing yards (86.0 per game) have come on 114 carries, with four touchdowns this year.
 
·       This season Terrell Jennings has rushed for 401 yards (44.6 per game) on 84 carries with three touchdowns.
 
·       Xavier Smith's 441 receiving yards (63.0 yards per game) lead the team. He has 44 receptions with one touchdown.
 
·       Jah'Marae Sheread has racked up 422 receiving yards (46.9 yards per game) and seven touchdowns, reeling in 41 passes this year.
 
·       David Manigo's 25 catches this season have resulted in 282 yards (35.3 ypg).
