FAMU will be represented at NASCAR's Pennzoil 400 in Las Vegas this weekend

FAMU will be represented at the Pennzoil 400 weekend in Las Vegas, NV, on Sunday, March 6, 2022.  

Veteran NASCAR driver Greg Biffle's Next Gen black #44 Chevrolet Camaro will be will adorned with the bold FAMU logo on the side and the iconic Rattler snakehead on the hood.  The car is sponsored by the NY Racing Team in partnership with Childress Racing and Hendrick Motorsports.
 
NY Racing Team is owned by John Cohen, an alumnus of Grambling State University, where he played for the legendary Eddie Robinson. Cohen also owns HBCU League Pass, the first and only HBCU sports 24/7 live streaming platform, FAMU Athletics recently announced a multi-year partnership with the start-up company.
 
The #44 FAMU car will be the second NASCAR stock car to represent an historically Black college or university (HBCU) in NASCAR’s 74-year history.
