Twenty-six FAMU pre-med, nursing, pre-physician assistant, and physical therapy students spent much of their Christmas break traveling to Nicaragua to volunteer with Synaptic Communities, a nonprofit, to provide healthcare to low-resourced, at-risk, underserved citizens.
