Earlier this year, FAMU announced it was on par to take in more than $72 million in grants from federal, state, and private sources, a record breaking year.
NSF collected data for the survey from 910 institutions, including FAMU, that award bachelor’s degrees or higher and that spent at least $150,000 on research and development in the 2021 fiscal year.
North Carolina A&T, on the other hand, saw a $5.45 million increase in federal research dollars over the same 10-year period the report showed.
Of the 910 institutions included in the NSF survey, FAMU ranked 211th among universities receiving federal research dollars, while NCAT ranked 225th.
