FAMU receives first crypto currency donation

Elijah John Bowdre
, a 2008 FAMU SBI grad, has made the university’s first crypto currency donation valued at $100,000.  Bowdre is co-founder of the U.S. Crypto Policy Alliance and chairman of the Miami-Dade County Crypto Currency Task Force.

His donation has been converted and he will be recognized on the SBI Big Board for an endowed for student scholarships within the School of Business and Industry (SBI).
 
His gift is one of several corporate and private donations which is leading the university to another record-breaking fund-raising year.  So far this academic year, FAMU has
 raised approximately $22 million.
