Rattlers lose home finale to Southern 60-58

The FAMU men’s basketball team suffered a crucial conference loss to Southern University last night by a score of 60-58 in the Al Lawson Center. The loss eliminated the Rattlers from making the SWAC tournament. 
 
The Rattlers  blew a nine point second half lead with 7:58 remaining in the game mostly by keeping its best players on the bench, and allowing the Jaguars to come back.  In fact, the Rattlers did not put its leading scorer Dimingus Stevens back into the game until :02 remaining in the game with the Jaguars up by 2 pts.
 
Stevens lead the Rattlers in scoring with 16 pts, while playing only 19 minutes.  
 
The Rattlers will now travel to Daytona Beach, Saturday, to close out the season against Bethune Cookman.
