FAMU homecoming football game to be broadcast nationally on ESPNU

FAMU’s homecoming football game against the Prairie View next week will now be televised nationally on  ESPNU the network announced earlier this week.

The game will mark the third time this season the Rattlers have be featured on national television, with the season opener in the Orange Blossom Classic being aired on ESPN and their week six game at Southern on ESPNU.  The No. 18 ranked Rattlers 5-1 overall/ 4-0 SWAC and are in first place in the SWAC Eastern division.


The Rattlers will travel to Houston, Tx, this week to take on Texas Southern University in a  SWAC divisional crossover against the Texas Southern Tigers (2-4, 1-2 SWAC), the Tigers compete in the SWAC Western division.

Kickoff is at 8 p.m. inside of Houston’s Shell Energy Stadium on ESPN+   The Tigers are on a two game winning streak having beat Lincoln University (CA) and having just spoiled Bethune-Cookman's homecoming 34-31.
