FAMU names Kenneth Wilson as new controller

FAMU recently announced the appointment of Kenneth Wilson as the university’s new controller.  He started in the role on February 12th.

Wilson, a Certified Public Accountant,  and holds a  Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Strategic Management from Purdue University.  He previously served as  controller/director at the University of North Texas Foundation and acting senior vice president for Finance/chief financial officer (CFO) at the Florida Institute of Technology. Prior to these positions, he held significant roles in public higher education at prestigious institutions such as Purdue University and the University of Michigan. Additionally, he has contributed his expertise in budgeting at Case Western Reserve University.

 

"Wilson's appointment reflects our dedication to enhancing our financial strategies and operations. We are confident that his leadership will further our mission and strengthen our long-term fiscal health and sustainability, " said Rebecca Brown, FAMU CFO/Vice President for Finance and Administration.
