FAMU MBB falls to UF 84-60

The FAMU mens basketball team loss to the University of  Florida 84-60 on Tuesday night by a score of 84-60. The Rattlers (0-4) struggled early, falling behind 46-22 at halftime, and couldn't recover despite a stronger second-half showing.

Sterling Young led the Rattlers with 12 points. Jamine Charles nearly had a double-double, scoring 9 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Jocobi Hendricks and Milton Matthews each added 9 points.

The Gators jumped to an early lead, with Will Richard (20 points) and Walter Clayton Jr. (17 points) leading the way for Florida. The Rattlers struggled to contain Florida's transition game, giving up 30 fast break points while only managing 4 of their own.

Despite the loss, FAMU showed improved play in the second half, scoring 38 points compared to just 22 in the first half. The Rattlers also shot better from the free-throw line in the second period, converting 16-of-19 attempts (84.2%) after struggling with a 1-of-5 showing before halft
