Speaking of Capitol Hill (DC)... Rattler Janelle Carter, is leaving the Office of House Speaker Dennis Hastert where she served as Speechwriter, since April 2005, to join the staff of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Prior to joining Mr. Hastert's staff, Janelle served as deputy Director of Speechwrting at the U.S. Department of Commerce, and was the speechwriter for Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R-NC). The Moss Point, MS, native holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Florida A&M University and a master's degree in political management from George Washington University.

Last week we introduced readers to Twyla Prindle, a Rattler and a author, who lives is in Jacksonville and recently wrote a children's book called "Can I Have Some Money Please?".

Well, as it turns out , Ms. Prindle is also the author of another book Deception: The Devil Hears Your Prayers Too . The book, which is available through Amazon.com, helps you decern betweens God's will and the devil's lies.

A bit more about Twyla, the native of Jacksonville earned her degree in Biology and Chemistry, she worked her way through college serving as student clinical assistant at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and a Pharmacy Research Assistant.

Twyla is multi-talented, smart, and single. She's one Rattler we'll hear a lot more from in the future.

  2. I like this slant to Rattler Nation. You always wonder where everybody is and how Rattlers are making there way in the world... other than Clinkscales (LOL)
Anyway, keep it up but don't let Castell and Co. off the hook. :)

  3. There are so many young, fine FAMU sisters doing big things. Ebony Mag just did an issue about eligible bachelors -- which included contact email addresses.

How about a blog series dedicated to SINGLE and SENSATIONAL Rattler women under 30?

The last Humphries-generation students are becoming people-to-watch all across the nation. It's time to showcase how FAMU's once dynamic recruitment program produced so many positive, black career people.

Besides, seeing these eye-candy sisters reminds me of one of the main "benefits" that lured me to the Hill in the first place!

  4. There are two more Rattlers in the Publishing Industry. Robyn Ringgold and Zaccai Free formerly Larry M. Tait, founded Solar Publishing as a way to bring environmental awareness and holistic education to children and families.

Check their website www.solarpub.com and buy a few books for your children or those of friends and family. Zaccai's blog www.getnkd.blogspot.com is also a good place to see what the former SGA Pres 1994-1996, is thinking about.
