The NNN (Negro News Network) is reporting, that College of Education Dean Robert L. Lemmons has been asked to resign his post via email from "Mad Black Woman" Interim President Bryant. Several of the NNN bureaus, from around the campus, are reporting that his likely replacement will be Barbara K. Barnes, formerly the Dean of the School of General Studies. You may recall, Dr. Barnes was unceremoniously removed from her position by former Univ. President Fred (Dumb as a Rock) Gainous in a move that was widely praised throughout the university community.The all important NNN Bureau on the 2nd floor of Foote-Hilyer has confirmed this account and added that Barnes did not wait long to start her climb back to the upper echelons of power at the university. Within a year after being removed from the dean’s post in general studies she was able to orchestrate a coup de ta’ in the department of Secondary Education and Foundations where she became its chair despite not having the support of the majority of the faculty within the department. With the latest move she will have come full circle in less that four years.
Contrary to popular belief, Dr. Barnes is a Zeta and not a Delta, but holds the distinction of being close friends with MBW's bestest girlfriend Vivian (I just got tenure) Hobbs.
Mr. Lemmons was said to have gotten his pink slip via email and was told to make his resignation effective June 30th, though it is widely expected that he will leave before then.

It is indeed a shame that Barbara K. Barnes is in line for Dean. what a travesty. I speak form personal experience. Mrs. Barnes taught me English Comp as a senoir at FAMU High. And during that time she was a below average instructor at best. It is amazing how someone of her staure can be appointed as Dean of anything
ReplyDeleteDuring the final 2005 interim presidential committee meeting, James Corbin, Challis Lowe, and R.B. Holmes all had identical #1 and #2 selections for interim president: (1) Castell Bryant; (2) Barbara Barnes.
ReplyDeleteThe search was rigged from the word "Go." We are dealing with people who simply don't give a damn about ethical conduct or fair play.
They don't care about qualifications. All they care about is maintaining and expanding their own personal power.
I'm told that Barbara Barnes kisses so much ass that she carries a roll of toiliet paper in her bra!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all how long have you graduated from elementary school from FAMU DRS? I was also a student and learned a great deal from Dr. Barnes and mainly how to let God handle things and NOT Black people! I bet you are the first one in the church praising the Lord and asking God to help your tired behind. What is it that you do? Tend to your own business. You probably was one of the person's that was stealing and you didn't get caught! That's all Black people do is sit down on their behinds and talk about people. Go to work--that's what you need to do! Stop lying!
