Unlike the search for a new Dean at SBI, which seems to have kicked in to high gear lately, the search a permanent university president continues to move at a snails pace. No search firm has been hired and no ads for candidates have been placed. Meanwhile, the committee continues to hold "focus groups". Hence this latest announcement:

On Thursday, February 9, 2006, the FAMU Board of Trustees and Bishop A.J. Richardson will host a meeting for a Community Focus Group. This focus group is in reference to the FAMU Presidential Search. The purpose of this group is to get opinions and feedback from community members who have a vested interest in the future of our university. The forum will be from 7-9p.m. and will be held at:
