The five FAMU students arrested for reportedly beating a fraternity pledge have filed a complaint against the university alleging that their due-process rights as students have been violated.

Calling the University's actions against the students "overzealous and uncoordinated, Brian Wolk, the student's attorney, said "certain administration officials have jumped the gun." FAMU has responded by filing a motion, with the court, for its dismissal.

All five of the students charged with hazing have been suspened from the University. The Alpha Xi chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi has been suspended until 2013.

Two of the five students charged had been scheduled to graduate this month, so the students are asking the university to expedite its judicial hearing process.
