Presidential Search drags on at a snails pace

This afternoon the University sent faculty and staff a letter from Trustees R.B. Holmes and Laura Branker, co-chairs of the Presidential Search Committee, outlining the "next steps" in the search process for FAMU's 10th permanent president. The process which has been going on since the University fired Fred Gainous in December 2004 is now kicking in to high gear. The goal, barring any set backs, is to have a permanent leader choosen by March 2007.
A permanent president by March 2008, yeah right. I'll believe it when it when I see it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, right. Since when has anyone in administration listened to anyone except themselves? If you think your input is valuable, think again. We're all small fish in an ocean full of sharks. Don't be fooled. There's been so much heeing & hawing until the Board thought it'd throw in some ridiculous statement, knowing full well that any such "input" does not amount to a hill of beans. Is there a "community committee," one that would actually offer feedback and input? A committee of qualified alumni from around the nation? Hardly. The gesture is BS, and everyone who reads the BS letter knows it.
ReplyDeleteyeah. i agree. with anonymous #2. give me a goddamn break with the bullS.
