  1. I will resume my support to FAMU when Castell and that awful BOT has been kicked of the "Hill". She is such ia liar and deceit. What a shame? Out with Castell & Co.

  2. Once again we are presented with a poorly written defense that contains contradictory facts. Just one example:

Dr. Bryant: "FAMU faculty has secured more than 300 active grants and contracts ... Awards in fiscal year 2005-2006 reached $54 million, representing a 12.5% increase from the previous year."

FAMU Division of Research website: "The FAMU faculty has demonstrated its commitment to research excellence by securing over $60 million in external funding during 2004."

Florida Auditor General's Report: http://www.myflorida.com/audgen/pages/pdf_files/2007-007.pdf "Revenues Used to Fund Operating Activities(In Thousands)

    Grants and Contracts

    2004-05 --- $58,329
    2003-04 --- $79,303
    Percent Change: -26.4%

Research revenue has plummetted under Dr. Bryant -- not a surprise since she fired most of the good people in that division and completely disrupted projects with stupid spending freezes. We were awarded over $60-million in grants the year before she landed in Lee Hall. The following year was an unmitigated disaster. She now wants us to be happy that we're only about 10% behind where we were 2 years ago!

Not this rattler! I'll be happy when we have a wise, honest, and visionary president who values FAMU and its people over his or her own ego.

  3. Castell has blind-sided that auditor with her deceitful tactics. I know first-hand because this is the way she carried on at Miami-Dade. Please know that she is the most arrogant incompetence individual that I have ever encountered in my twenty plus years of professional experience. She uses her arrogance to cover-up her incompetence. Kick Castell off the "Hill". She is a complete dis-grace to the FAMU we love so dearly.

  5. As a CFO I interested to see how this all plays out. Castell has constantly said she is not responsible for this mess. But harken unto this my fellow Rattlers:

When the 2006 books are released, lets see just how accurate they will be.

They will have to reconcile to the numbers that she has signed off on.
So mind you if there is anything that smells fishy and collusion.....Madame President will be 100% responsible for explaining those inconsistencies.

So as you all can see it ain't over.

  6. Submission of the 2006-07 Operating Budget is already late, and the clock is ticking.

Every time I hear Castell's name, the tune from the commercial about cat litter pops into my mind, "What's new pussycat? ooh, ooh....... Just more crap being glossed over with more lies!

  7. Castell Bryant is quite the arrogant one. And it is not that she cares anything about FAMU, it's that she cares about being the HNIC. The woman is insane. Quite frankly, I'd be cautious about how I treated people, because you never know what you're going to come to in this world later on down the road. Does the woman have any compassion for anyone besides herself and her self-appointed buddies? I wonder how the woman sleeps at night. Surely she knows that she is severely abusing her power. Surely she is aware of the fact that everything she does is so not the right thing to do. Surely she knows that everyone is not the bad person she has so painted them to be. Her behavior and arrogant attitude simply defies logic and coherence. I think she's simply losing her damn mind. What else can it be. How does she go and fire someone who has criticized her? Does she not think she's incapable of being incorrect? The woman is a devil, a leatherfaced devil, at that. I never thought that I'd wish for the incompetent days of Fred Gainous. Where's that Barney Bishop. Hell, I'm about to suggest that he throw his damn hat in the ring for the presidency. It couldn't be any worse, and it probably can't get any worse.

  8. Castell needs to go do something to herself. It rhymes with a young deer. Maybe that's what she needs: a good "young deering." Then, perhaps she would loosen up a bit and not be (it rhymes with switch).

  9. I like that: Castell byrant needs a "young deering." LOL!

  10. OK ... I give up ...

    "What rhymes with venison?

  11. Is a young deer a "buck"? That's about as close to this thing as I can get. Anybody else out there got anything for this one? Is a buck a young deer. I'own know.

  12. Now, see, y'all done gone too far here. We've gotten off the issues at hand and are now talking about what CVB needs to go and do. Let's stick with the issues and stay sensible in the interim, like what Castell is. Ok?

  13. Sorry.

But the stress level at FAMU is so high that sometimes the only thing you can do is, for a moment, be silly and laugh.

Did you hear the one about the college president and the rabbi who walked into a bar...?

  14. No, what about it?
