  1. whatever happened to the sunshine laws, I know that individuals can go to the interviews, but what if you are a stakeholder living outside of Tallahassee?

  2. hell, if that is the case, WCTV 6 should show the meeting live on their web cite

  14. FAMcast has been down since the ONLY guy that ran the thing left FAMU. WOrd has it, it was his personal euipment he was using and FAMU just never invested in the project. So he left and took his euipment with him.

  15. Good grief, 1:58--Is it really necessary for such deragotory language to be used on this site. We are all pretty upset and understadably so, but what good does using filthy language do to the commentary? We're all stakeholders here, because (hopefully) we love the university and want to see that everything is done in a just and fair manner, but cursing and being silly does no one any good, and what it shows is that perhaps you need to invest in a dictionary if the language you are using is the best that you can come up with. I agree with poster 2:01.

The reason that we no longer have FAMcast is because Lowe has indicated that it is not cost effective to broadcast live (hint, hint, she don't want you to know what's going on). She has driven this home over and over again. Has nothing to do with some alleged employee taking their equipment. The equipment is still over in the Office of Planning and Analysis (new name is Enterprise Tech).

  17. FTR ...

Does anyone out here know what does it actually/approximately "cost" to have it done?

  18. Other than the cost of the employees already on payroll and drawing a check, it can't be much.

  19. Why would Lowe address the cost effectiveness of the broadcast? Isn't managing the budget the interim's responsibility? Is Lowe micromanaging the FAMU budget or is the cost associated with a BOT budget?

  20. actually 1/30/2007 11:13 AM it cost more than just an employee. There are significant hardware/software and bandwidth costs. The hardware and software should be one time costs, but bandwidth vary. Similar to electricity the more users listening the more bandwidth the university would have to provide.
