Purple rain is definitely in the forecast for Florida A&M University's marching band Sunday.
The "Marching 100" - known for its high-stepping style, flashy dance routines and musicality - performs with rock icon Prince at halftime during Super Bowl XLI in Miami.
That's an honor, along with marching into Dolphin Stadium for a historic football matchup, that is not lost on band members. Never has a black head coach come to the Super Bowl. This year there will be two.

The "100" will go directly to the New Mount Olive Baptist Church 400 NW 9th Avenue Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33311 for a reception when they arrive in South Florida hosted by the FAMU Broward County NAA. Update to come as to time.
