In the past week, Florida A&M University's interim president announced she was stepping down early and the provost said she was leaving, too. In the past two months, five of 13 FAMU trustees have either quit or been replaced.
At most universities, this would be earth-shattering.
At FAMU, it's business as usual.

Let us be realistic. People are applying, however once they realize the true reality of the person who hired them they leave as quickly as possible. Those who try to stay are either 1)receiving the most money they have earned in their life, 2)love the control, 3) truly LOVE the university, or lastly, could really give a s... about the university. I am sure that most of you could point them out without hesitation.

ReplyDeleteWhen a new Governor or President comes into office, all dept heads, committee chairs, VP's automatically submit their letters of resignation. It is expected that all those that were hired by Castell and even President Gainous will render theirs ASAP. We all wish them well in their future endeavors. Goodbye and happy trails to them.

I know that boyd and lassiter are in fa. june, lamar and wise are in student affairs. not absolutely sure of the others. We can check the directory.
