Thirty FAMU students who are members of the Collegiate MENC Chapter are seeking financial support to attend the Collegiate Music Educators National Conference in Chicago, IL, December 19-22, 2007.
This clinic serves as an opportunity for the music students to gain valuable knowledge and network with other collegiate chapters, discuss issues, exchange ideas and concepts that could foster effective techniques and resources used in Music Education. They are asking all graduates and friends of Florida A&M University for a $25.00 donation (more if you can) towards this endeavor.
The students are currently involved in fundraising efforts, on their own, to help off-set expenses which total $5,000 for the entire weekend.
Please make checks payable to Florida A&M University (with the notation: FAMU CMENC) and send by to Shelby Chipman, Associate Director of Bands and CMENC Advisor, FAMU Department of Music, Tallahassee, FL 32307.
