FAMU grad Billy Rolle, head coach, Northwestern H.S. School in Miami has his team rolling.

Northwestern, the No. 1 ranked high school football team in the nation, moved to within two victories of claiming a second consecutive state championship after routing South Dade 55-14 in the Region 4-6A final Friday night at Traz Powell Stadium.

The Bulls (13-0) won their state-best 28th consecutive game and advanced to their third consecutive Class 6A state semifinal. Northwestern will play Deerfield Beach next Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Orange Bowl.

The Bucks (11-2), ranked No. 11 in The Miami Herald's South Florida Top 20 poll, are the last team to beat Northwestern in the Class 6A state semifinal two seasons ago. Northwestern beat Deerfield Beach in a preseason classic this season 50-41.
