Off Topic: Chris Matthews mocks Obama's Bowling as "Ethnic"

Another week, another racist or sexist slur from the frat boys at MSNBC. Several of the Republican-leaning hosts took time off from their favorite pastime—ie, Hillary Hate—to use self-described "ethnic" commentary to describe Obama's recent, not-so-very-good performance at a Pennsylvania bowling alley.
MSNBC's Chris Matthews quipped to political analyst Michelle Bernard, "You know, Michelle—and this gets very ethnic, but the fact that he’s good at basketball doesn’t surprise anybody ... But the fact that he’s that terrible at bowling does make you wonder." The Hardball host said Obama’s bowling "form" wasn’t "the most macho."

There's nothing remotely ethnic about Obama's poor bowling. I've never taken seriously anything Chris Mathews has said - and I won't start now - but his statement is beyond stupid.
ReplyDeleteMost everyone is terrible at bowling. That we can have so much fun doing something we're bad at is a neat thing.
I wonder if Chris Mathews considers Jerome Bettis an 'Uncle Tom' for being a member of the Bowling Hall of Fame? Or Kim Terrell, a legend on the women's tour, or George Branham III, who ripped it up in the 1980s and 1990s [and whose style I remember trying like Hell to copy]... or Billy Oatman doing well in his first year on the tour...
Chris Mathews is unbearably out of touch.
