  1. I don't know what "Animal Husbandry" is, but I don't know if any other school has alums or former admins who are Presidents of Other HBCUs. SCSU, FVSU, NCCU (a minute ago), and before she got busted TxSU. FAMU Baby!!

  2. FVSU President, Dr.Rivers did not graduate from FAMU. He worked there for 30yrs and is in fact an Alum of FVSU. But, you make a great point FAMU is in the art of making Leaders!

  4. Good luck to Dr. Cooper. He's going to need it. SCSU is suffering from bad Board of Trustees leadership, similar to what FAMU faced up until a about a year ago.

The alumni are still furious over the ouster of Dr. Andrew Hugine, an outstanding leader who was responsible for enrollment growth, expansion of campus facilities, and increased legislative appropriations.

The process that resulted in his forced resignation was filled with under-handed tactics on the part of the Board of Trustees. It's said to Hugine was fighting back against attempts to micromanage him.

It's so sad to see another HBCU struggling in this manner. The SCSU alumni association and several legislative supporters are working to bring sweeping changes to the Board of Trustees and I hope they are successful.

Hopefully, Dr. Cooper can make the best out of a bad situation and keep SCSU, another fine HBCU, standing.

  5. UNCLE TOMS!!! We must root them out before they have us begging the otha man again when we have no schools to call our own. Think about it after the Brown case where did all those black high schools go? where did all those schools named after African Americans go? Look at the result of a few "black" folk thinking that the otha man ice was colder. Black males drop out of highschool at a rate that is three and four times higher than the white peers! No HBCU's? Take away 20% of all african americn PharmD's and that is from FAMU alone! Take away 1/3 of all the African AMericans in the country with PhD's in Physics and that is from FAMU alone!

We had a Board of UNCLE TOMS and they gave us TWO BAD Presidents on real on interim and who picks these Boards? The Man! Prayer is not enough! African AMericans must start to do something for African Americans! Tom Joyner offered to buy Morris Brown and thier Board said no. They have 95 students and three professors. What in the hell were they thinking!!!!!! These so called leaders need to be challanged and sent out to pasture. We need new fearless leadership and not from these "I am whiter than the white man" "social, fraternal, civic groups"! We need some independent thinking African American LEADERS!!!
