The Florida A&M University Taylor County Alumni Association presented four $1,000 Presidential Special Scholarships to deserving students. FAMU Interim Vice President for Student Affairs William E. Hudson Jr. served as the keynote speaker at the festive event.The recipients, Erica Scott, Sa-Mia August, Arneshia Stephens and Maya Sutton, will each receive $1,000 per academic year totaling $4,000 for four years.
Stephens was all set to attend a community college in Alabama to play basketball; however, by the evening's end, she informed Hudson that she will complete her application and commit to FAMU.
