FAMU captured its third consecutive Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) women’s cross country championship on Saturday morning at the Delaware State University Outreach and Research Center.

FAMU scored 38 points to win its seventh overall MEAC title and third in a row. The Lady Rattlers averaged a time of 19:23.58 on the 5K course.

“We battled tough conditions today,” FAMU Head Coach Darlene Moore said. “I thought our girls ran a good race and we are very excited to bring another title back to Florida A&M.”

Moore received the MEAC “Most Outstanding Coach” honor for the third straight year.
