Ivey, a junior from Sandersville, Ga., ran the 55m hurdles
in 7.98, which is the second best performance in the MEAC this year.
“To see Ashley come back and perform at this level is a welcomed sight. She had to sit out with a season-ending injury last season that took its toll both mentally and physically. To see her work her way back to the upper echelon of the conference is very encouraging,” Head Coach Darlene Moore said.
Ivey is a valuable component to the overall Lady Rattler
squad. Along with the hurdles, she is a member of the 4x100m relay team, a long
jumper and triple jumper.
