The National Association of Collegiate Marketing
Administrators (NACMA) has named FAMU Associate Athletic Director for External
Affairs
Angela Suggs as one of the recipients its 2015 Mike Cleary Convention
Stipend.
Suggs and dozens of other stipend recipients from across the
nation will attend the 2015 NACMA Convention which will take place from June
15-18 at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Florida.
“The popularity of the expansion of the Mike Cleary Stipend
Program amongst our membership was very apparent as we received a record number
of extremely qualified applicants this year,” stated NACMA Awards Committee
Chair
Ayo Taylor-Dixon, Senior Associate Athletics Director of External
Relations at the University of Northern Colorado. “On behalf of the NACMA Board
of Directors, I want to personally congratulate our recipients. We look forward
to providing them with the opportunity to attend our Convention in Orlando, and
gain a valuable networking and educational experience.”
Each Mike Cleary Stipend is $1,000 and is awarded
to individuals who fall into one of the following categories: students,
entry-level personnel (3-years or less full time in the industry), ethnic
minorities, LGBT, and Small School (Non-Division I institutions).
The stipend and convention invitation are offered to help
the honorees advance their collegiate marketing careers, enhance their ability
to generate revenue for their institutions, and take advantage of valuable
networking opportunities with numerous collegiate marketing administrators.
