The FAMU Law Review represents some of the brightest legal
minds the College of Law has to offer, providing a vehicle for academic
publishing in the field of law. Students selected for law review are in the top
percentage of their respective classes, and/or demonstrate a high level of
research and writing skills.
“The induction honors the accomplishments of the incoming
staff and allows them to share in their academic success with friends and
family,” said Jacqueline Bertelsen, Editor-in-Chief of FAMU Law Review. “For
senior editors, induction is how we officially welcome junior editors to our
ranks.”
The event featured the pinning of 19 new members, who are
either second-year day, or third-year evening program students. Newly installed
members included: Davidson Anestal; Aarica Ardis; Karen Descafano; Melissa
Escoffery; Caitlin Frenkel; Jack Grimsley; Aaron Humphrey; David Johnson;
Rachel Kilbert; Kyle Marcil; LaVater Massie-Banks; Jahaida Numa; Maite
Palazzolo; Anthony Paris; Robin Rogers; Michael Scott; Sarah Swyers; Issa
Velho; and Nicholas Wright.
“The best part of the evening was seeing the students,
faculty and administrators in the audience supporting our Journal,” Bertelsen
said.
The new members will assist with the production of the
Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University Law Review Journal, a
student-edited periodical that seeks to generate knowledge and progressively
contribute to the development of law
