Marcella David named senior vice president and provost at Columbia College Chicago

Marcella David, J.D., has been appointed senior vice president and provost at Columbia College Chicago, effective June 3.  David previously served as provost and vice president for academic affairs at FAMU from 2015 to 2016.  David’s faculty appointment at FAMU was in the College of Law. In 2017, she joined the faculty of the FSU College of Law as a visiting professor.

“I am honored to become Columbia’s next provost,” said David. “The college has a distinguished faculty and a rich history of helping student master creative practice int the context of a rigorous liberal arts education.”

Columbia College Chicago is a private liberal arts college with about 7,000 students in more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
