An impasse between Florida A&M University and AFSCME soon could be resolved following a short negotiation session on Monday.
At the meeting, FAMU offered negotiators for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees a one-time bonus of $2,431 to every member of the bargaining unit.
AFSCME represents 437 University Support Personnel System employees on campus.
The union will take a ratification vote on Sept. 17. If it is ratified, FAMU President Larry Robinson will ask the Board of Trustees to approve the agreement at their Sept. 19 meeting.
