As the nation continues to grapple with the fallout from the global coronavirus pandemic, FAMU Cheerleaders and Marching 100 auditions have gone virtual.
The FAMU Cheerleaders have created a virtual tryout process for the 2020-2021 cheer team. Cheerleaders interested in competing for the team are required to submit a video performing a prescribed series of maneuvers which will be evaluated by the cheer staff.
Interested parties will need to register for the tryout process online and submit videos by May 1.
The Marching100, like many other bands have been conducting virtual auditions this year, having potential members submit their videos via email using a YouTube link to be evaluated by band staff. The band staff has outlined criteria for each instrument. The band recently held a virtual meeting with over 100 prospective new members.
