During 1887 minutes between April 30 and May 1, the FAMU community raised more than $213,256 to support students and initiatives at the university. More than 1,415 donors from around the globe came together to make a better tomorrow for current and future Rattlers.
This was the first year that FAMU coordinated a 24-hour campaign that coincided with #GivingTuesday the global day of philanthropy and the highest one day total to date.
One project that struck a chord with donors was the FAMU Cares project to help students who face unforeseen financial difficulties or expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rattlers also gave to support individual schools and colleges, the FAMU NAA Save Our Students Fund and to support athletics.
