Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is rumored to have narrowed down his list of vice presidential candidates — and it features four Black women, including FAMU grad, and Atlanta Mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms.
Sources close to the Biden campaign told the Washington Post that several candidates had now made it to the stage of comprehensive vetting to be Biden's potential running mate.
Bottoms is said to be on the list with Sen. Kamala Harris of California, former national security adviser Susan Rice, and Florida Rep. Val Demmings.
Bottoms’ profile has risen for her handling of civil unrest in the aftermath of national protest following the brutal killing of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer.
