Alumni members of the Alpha Xi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity this year have awarded nine FAMU students $30,000 in scholarship support for the 2021-22 academic year, the group announced yesterday. Four of the nine scholarship recipients are undergraduate members of the fraternity.
This is this third and largest class of Alpha Xi Achievement scholars, the fraternity said in a press release. Since 2019, the chapter working as Alpha Xi Gives has provided $74,000 in scholarships to nineteen FAMU students.
In 2018, the chapter donated $247,970 to the FAMU Foundation over the homecoming weekend for scholarships.
