FAMU DRS grad elected chair of Florida Board of Governors

Brian Lamb, a graduate of the FAMU Developmental Research School was elected chair of the Florida Board of Governors (FBOG), yesterday, at the board’s meeting at Florida Atlantic University. The FBOG serves as the governing body for the State University System of Florida, which includes all public universities in the state of Florida.

Lamb, a Havana native, was a standout basketball player at FAMU DRS, and attended the University of South Florida on a basketball scholarship, where he earned a bachelor's and masters in business.

For the past year, Lamb served as the vice-chair of the BOG and chairs the body’s Budget and Finance Committee. 

He is the global head of Diversity & Inclusion at JPMorgan Chase & Co. One of his three children attends FAMU.
