FAMU is top HBCU, No. 3 overall, for women and minorities in STEM disciplines

FAMU ranked third in the nation in a listing of top ten colleges by ZDNET.com.  ZDNet, recently ranked the top ten institutions for women and minorities in the STEM fields. 

FAMU was the highest ranked HBCU, besting No. 4 Howard and No. 7 Spelman.

ZDNet is a well-respected website focused on the 24/7 coverage and analysis  on the trends, technologies, and opportunities that matter to IT professionals and decision makers.


The website wrote, " FAMU provides a first-year, STEM Dual Enrollment Themed Learning Community, Male STEM Academic Excellence Learning Community, and Women in STEM Learning Community. Male learning community members participate in health sciences, health information management, and nursing co-curricular activities. Women in STEM members explore their educational and career goals."
