The FAMU Rattlers softball team opened the season, yesterday, with a 12-4 victory over the Hampton Pirates at the Heart of Georgia Invitational in Macon, GA.

The Rattlers gave first year head Coach Camise Patterson her first victory. Patterson spent the last six years as an assistant and was elevated to the first head coach on Jan. 3.

The Rattlers again face Hampton again today at 1 pm, before taking on host Mercer University at 3:30 pm.
