Rattlers take on USF in interstate matchup

The FAMU Rattlers (1-0, 1-0 SWAC) will face off against the University of South Florida Bulls today in Tampa at Raymond James Stadium.  Kickoff is at 7 p.m.  
 
FAMU is coached by Willie Simmons, who's in his sixth-year on the job. Simmons has a 55-23 all-time record and is 34-12 with the Rattlers.

USF is led by first-year head coach
 Alex Golesh. Golesh was previously served at the University of Tennessee's offensive coordinator and tight ends coach. He's 0-1 after the Bulls lost 41-24 to Western Kentucky last week.

The Rattlers and the Bulls last met in 2021 with the Bulls winning 38-17.  Today’s game is the fifth matchup between the two teams with the Bulls holding a 4-0 all time advantage.  FAMU is currently under contract to play USF one more time in 2027.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+  ESPN analysis give the Rattlers a 7.4 percent chance of winning.
