The FAMU men’s basketball team suffered a double overtime loss, at home, to the Albany State (GA) Rams 92-85.

The loss to the Rams, a division 2 opponent from the SIAC, was supposed to be a cupcake game and confidence builder for the winless Rattlers (0-5), but Coach Robert McCullum found a way to make a game out of it.

How it happened
The Rams scored a total of 36 points off of Rattler turnovers, including 7 points in the two over time periods.  By contrast, the Rattlers were only able to score 11 points off of turnovers, scoring just two points in both the overtime periods.

The Rattlers dominated Albany State on the boards, holding a 55-32 rebound advantage, but the Rams outshot the Rattlers 57.7 percent  vs 26.3 percent from the three point range, while holding even in field goals.

On the bright side, Rattler newcomer Keith Lamar , a senior transfer from South Georgia State College, secured a double-double with 29 points and 11 rebounds.

The Rattlers will now regroup and travel to South Carolina to face Presbyterian College on December 6.
