FAMU will host its first post-season football game in Bragg Stadium in 25 years tomorrow as the Rattlers take on Prairie View A&M in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship game at 4 p.m.

The Rattlers are 10-1 and riding a 19 game home winning streak, while the Prairie View Panthers are 6-5 and come into the game with a three game winning streak.

The two teams faced each other earlier this season, on October 28th, when the Rattlers dominated the Panthers in a 45-7 blowout win. The Rattlers held PV to 220 total offensive yards and less than 3.5 yards per play.

Since then, Prairie View has leaned on its rushing attack to put together over a three-game winning streak to end the season. The Panthers have averaged 174.0 yards per game on the ground, led by Caleb Johnson and Ahmad Antoine.

Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. this afternoon.  The weather forecast calls for a 77 percent chance of thunderstorms.

“Whatever the conditions are, we need everyone here,” said Head Coach Willie Simmons. “It’s going to be a great day, a great atmosphere for football, and the last time this team gets to play in Bragg Stadium.”

The game is expected to net FAMU roughly $400,000 from ticket sales, according to university officials.
