In a hard-fought battle, FAMU women's basketball team suffered a setback in their opening round game of the SWAC Tournament against the Grambling Tigers. The Rattlers faced a formidable opponent in the No. 2 seed Grambling, ultimately falling short with a final score of 66-60.
Despite the loss, the Rattlers displayed resilience and determination on the court. Ahriahna Grizzle led the charge for FAMU, contributing 16 points and dishing out five assists. Olivia Delancy added to the offensive effort with 14 points, while Ivet Subirats provided a solid performance with nine points and 10 rebounds.
A standout performance on the boards came from Nashani Gilbert, who pulled down five offensive rebounds, helping FAMU capitalize on second chance opportunities.
