In advance of the highly anticipated 2025 FAMU Athletics Strike Tour, Athletic Director Angela Suggs kicked off the fundraising initiative at the FAMU National Alumni Association Convention in Frisco, TX, as apart of the NAA's overall fundraising effort. The event marked the beginning of a new era for FAMU Athletics, emphasizing the importance of community support in achieving greatness. Suggs addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of the Strike Tour, which is currently in formation and set to visit cities across the nation.
"In this new era of college athletics, it is abundantly clear that winning programs will be the ones that galvanize the support of their campuses, fan bases, and communities," she said. "We are fortunate that the FAMU community, our Rattler fans around the world, have demonstrated their passionate commitment to our exceptional student-athletes and coaches. Their spirit, passion, support, AND their dollars are critical for us to compete and win at the highest level."
The Strike Tour celebrates the competitive spirit of FAMU alumni and fans, uniting our fanbase and alumni to elevate FAMU Athletics and share in the victories. The tour aims to raise funds to support various initiatives, including:
Cultivate Champion-Caliber Teams: Providing the resources necessary to attract and retain the nation's best student-athletes and coaches, and delivering state-of-the-art facilities and elite training resources that give our teams the competitive edge.
