Nine FAMU student-athletes have made the 2015 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tennis All-Academic team. The All-Academic team honor recognizes student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average, including sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as transfer student-athletes, who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year.

A total of 85 tennis players from across the conference achieved this distinction this year.

“I would like to congratulate our men’s and women’s tennis student-athletes who have maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average during the academic school year,” said Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas. “I would like to acknowledge the accomplishments of these student-athletes, the athletic academic support staff, the coaches and the parents who contributed to their academic success.”

FAMU’s MEAC Tennis All-Academic team members are: Walner Espinoza Bares, Elizabeth Clayton, Dominique Henry, Courage Okungbowa, Elysia Ortiz, Jason Ulacio, Arrice Robinson, Symone Townsend, and Carlos Waitman.
