Alpha Xi Gives, a scholarship initiative founded and managed by alumni of the Alpha Xi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. at FAMU, awarded $36,000 in scholarships for the 2022-23 academic year to twelve FAMU students.
The 12 students awarded scholarships this year were selected from a large pool of applicants evaluated by the FAMU Foundation and Alpha Xi Gives. Awardees were selected based on their academic performance, campus involvement, and community service.
Alpha Xi Gives is believed to be one of the largest HBCU scholarship initiatives conceived and funded by Historically Black Greek-letter organization alumni, raising $480,000 for FAMU and awarding $110,000 in scholarships since 2019 to thirty-one FAMU students.
