The NNN Bureaus around the campus are a buzz with reports that Castell "Mad Black Woman" Bryant plans to remove all the remaining Deans at FAMU and replace them with her personal cronies. Our reporters inform us that this will be an incremental process and that the forced resignation of College of Education Dean Robert Lemmons is just the beginning.

Also reportedly on the list are Architecture Dean Rodner Wright, who chairs the University's Dean's Council, and Journalism Dean James Hawkins. College of Arts and Sciences Dean Larry E. Rivers was on the list, but is getting the hell out of dodge with his recent appointment as President of FVSU. MBW has repeatedly clashed with the Dean's Council over the need for deans to have input in the university's academic decisions. Also, Julian White better watch his back--that Grammy thing is just a precursor of what's in store. Click here ---> Castell's Grammy Mess

It seems as though our own Interim President is effectively implementing Jeb's "devious plan" to destroy Black folk in the nation's third largest state. First FCAT (Florida's Comprehensive Assessment Test) which has held back Black students in K-12 and produced one of the lowest graduation rates for African Americans in the nation (47th out of 50 states). Now, Jeb's continuing assualt on the state's only Historically Black University. Jeb is destroying FAMU from within, by giving us a weak Board of Trustees and two lackluster community college administrators as President and Interim President.

We are told that the "Deans Hit List" is a reality that will throw our once proud university into further instability. With accrediation on the horizion such instability can't be a good thing. Thanks Jeb!

  1. Being informed about the things going on at FAMU is important, but getting ourselves organized to stop the destruction is required!!. Otherwise the great institution we've poured our hearts and souls into will be unrecognizable -- or gone all together! When will the Rattler Nation rise up and demand the carnage stop?

  2. One of the most important steps to getting organized to fight is to spread the truth to as many people as possible.

Within a very short period, this blog has gained a large following throughout the FAMU community. Rattlers everywhere are hungry for the truth. Many loyal FAMUans are tired of the lies and distortions that are coming out of Lee Hall. So naturally, they gravitate toward a website that dares to truly go "Against the Grain" and challenge those who are hurting our institution.

Still, all of us can do more to support the mission of the Rattlernation Blogspot. Let's forward links to site to all the reporters who cover FAMU. We need to flood the Tallahassee Democrat, Orlando Sentinel, St. Pete Times, Miami Herald, Jax Times-Union higher-ed reporters with links to the site. Also, if your local news channels cover FAMU stories, forward them links as well.

We need to make sure that everyone who writes/reports FAMU news for the media reads this blog on a regular basis.
