The Florida Legislature last year approved the naming of several FAMU buildings, which were formerly dedicated yesterday. The buildings are: the School of Business and Industry Building which was named for founding Dean Sybil Mobley, School of Archiecture which now bears the name of former FAMU president Walter Smith, The Black Archieves which has been renamed the Carrie Meek/James Eaton Building, and the School of Allied Health which was named the Jacqueline Beck/Margaret Lewis Building.

  1. Why is that I am the only one who has to say anything about this story? This was a very positive and historically significant day for the university, yet there were no comments before this one. However, when I looked at the stories about Smith and others, there were 20-plus comments.

Many people only want to talk about "mess."

The sad thing is, the people who need to read this will not because this is not juicy enough.
