My brothers keeper
FAMU doesn't yet have a film school, but that hasn't keep its students from picking up a camera and producing their own short stories and films.
Following in the footsteps of those other successful Rattler filmmakers, Rob Hardy and Will Packer, FAMU students for the past year have for the past year been producing an online soap opera called My Bother's Keeper.
My Brother's Keeper takes a sometimes steamy, real, look at life on the campus of a southern HBCU. The Youtube mini-series, which tackles some weighty issues --abortion, sexuality, domestic violence, sexism, racism, and a whole lot of other "isms".
The entire series which is now in "Season 2" production is headed to DVD and will be available on Amazon.com .

ReplyDeleteThe soap opera is Cynthia Hughes-Harris and her mega raise, mega bonus for new AAVPs and a quarter of a million dollars to re-decorate the Provost Office. If Ammons fires one person under Academic Affairs, he and Cynthia need to be sent packing.
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of stuff they do and then beg alumni for funds.
Stop the madness!
The Associate Director, Rebekka Brown of Auxiliary Services was demoted from Associate Director to Executive Assistant to VP of Fiscal Affairs effective immediately, not Chief of Staff. Stay tune for more drama...
ReplyDeleteDid they advertise the position? Isn't that Sherwood Brown's wife? Was she fired from another office on campus, something to do with Audits? How did she get the job in Business Services?
