Clemon Johnson kicked off his first year as the Rattler men's head basketball coach in grand style with a Celebrity Golf Tournament.

The fundraising effort for the FAMU hoopsters, featured two of his former teammates from the 1983 NBA Champion Philadelphia 76ers.  Julius "Dr. J" Erving and Andrew Toney flew to Tallahassee to tee off in support of Johnson’s team.

This year's Celebrity Golf Tournament is set to be bigger and better.

In addition to "Dr. J." and Toney, Johnson has invited "Sir" Charles Barkley, Moses "The Mailman" Malone, Artis Gilmore and former NFL All-Pro Quarterback Daunte Culpepper.

The tournament will take place on August 23 at the Southwood Golf Club. The weekend will also feature a pairings party and silent auction.

Registration information is available here.
