Coming off a an opening week loss to 17th ranked UCF, the Rattlers will use an early bye week to regroup and work on their fundamentals.

"This week is about us. It's about getting better fundamentally, what we're good at and what we need to work on," head coach Willie Simmons said. "The takeaway from the game last week was we didn't play well fundamentally. We went back to the basics Sunday of teaching alignment assignment technique football. We'll do this in pads so this week they can simulate the movements to make with contact.

Monday, the Rattlers will begin to focus their attention on their home opener against the Wildcats of Fort Valley State University who come into Bragg on Saturday for a 6 p.m. standoff.
