The FAMU School of Architecture and Engineering Technology (SAET), for the past six weeks, has teamed up with Pineview Elementary School on Tallahassee’s southside to help students learn the value of architecture by creating an environment for students at the school to learn and explore careers in the profession.
SAET professors Rhonda Hammond, AIA; Elizabeth Lewis, AIA, and Mahsan Mohsenin, PhD., met once a week with the students on campus to explore drawing, hands-on building , and neighborhood exploration activities as a part of the American Institute of Architects Architecture in Education afterschool program.
