The FAMU men's basketball team earned its first victory of the season, with a 76-70 triumph over the Austin Peay Governors (4-3, 0-1 OVC) in Clarksville, TN on Tuesday night.
The Rattlers (1-4, 0-0 MEAC) were propelled by leading by junior guard MJ Randolph who scored a career-high 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting, to go along with six assists, five steals and two rebounds.
FAMU had its best shooting performance of the season, shooting 55.6 percent from the field (30-of-54) and 50 percent from three-point range (7-of-14).
On the defensive end, FAMU held the Governors to just 39.7 percent shooting from the floor (23-of-58) and 24.7 percent from behind the arc.
